MRY Ultra Lenses - DWP lenses for $30

I switched my order to Emerald Green.

Commenting to Green, the Green-Mirror lens by Costa del Mar is closer to that view of the Cobalt-Rose.
I think it is one of their best lenses.

The bronze base is good & then the green mirror gives it a rosiness. It does over-exaggerate colors in low light, however.

Interested to hear what you think of the Emerald Green....... (if they fit )

Just bought my first pair of Ray Ban with the Chromance lenses.

Really looking forward to seeing how they "pop"

Don't know why that image did not attach.

not to knock on Ray-Ban, but if you are looking for contrast-boosting lens, I would look to these:

I have yet to find a Smith design I like with the proper lens in it, so at the moment I am using their budget version, SunCloud Zephyr, & I was surprised at how great the lens is, especially for a budget model.

Can confirm however for the rest. Costa lenses are quite good, & so are Fuse, but choose wisely.
I am a little underwhelmed with the Glacier Mirror I got in yesterday, but the proof will be in driving with them.

My friend Ray has a catchphrase: Ray Bans Ray-Bans
He is a Maui Jim fanatic, but also boasts about Rēvo.

On your recommendation, I have just bought my first pair of Costa's

Costa del Mar
Cut
Matte Havana Green Fade
Green 580P Mirror

Looking forward to them

The 580p Green Mirror may be the strongest Rosiness I have experienced.
Ironically, the 580G (glass) is not as strong with the contrast-boost.

I have a set of cracked 580G green mirror here, replaced them with iKon 24K Gold Mirror.

If you want a replacement lens that comes about as close as you can get to MauiRose, Tajima Direct.
They use Urethane, which is what Trivex is made of, same as the MauiBrilliant lens.

you won't regret it, I have a pair of Costa Saltbreak Green 580G they are amazing lenses. I have blue 580g/p sunrise silver mirror and copper silver mirror and the Green are my favorites by far. The Sunrise really pop in the snow...

I have some Costa Canaveral Ti - with 580G blue. Love them, the G lenses are offset with the Ti frame. Nice pair of aviators.

Do not put MRY lenses in your Holbrooks if you plan on putting genuine Oakley lenses back in at any stage.

A few weeks ago I put a set of MRY DWP into my Holbrook Mix. Fantastic looking lense in my opinion.
This evening I decided to put those DWP into my Holbrook (steel/Prizm Daily) frames and put the Prizm Daily into the Holbrook Mix....just for aesthetic reasons.

The MRY Lenses have stretched the frame and the genuinely Oakley lenses are sitting looser than I would like (they basically pop out when cleaning them)
I purchase throwaway frames for this very purpose, to test out replacement lenses without wrecking my glasses that already had a good lens in them.

The MRY I currently have is in an old Spy+ Tackle frame that I got on eBay for less than $23:

in fact, I have a potential local buyer that I will meet as soon as we are able to get our automobiles out from under the snow & ice

If you want a cheap lens to throw into something to sell, MRY can only be beat by Galaxy Lens, price-wise.
Galaxy sells almost exclusively for Oakleys, & also the rubber kits, nosepads, earsocks.

I did not originally intend to sell, but it might become a nice little side-hustle for me.
Keeping the DVX frames though, which have a SEEK lens, which cost about as much, for me, as the MRY:

DVX are a subsidiary of Wiley-X, ANSI rated for Impact Resistance

The only Oakley I will put non-Oakley lens in are half-rim design:
Flak 2
RPM-Edge
Flak-Beta
Half Jacket 2

They just change so easily, in comparison to a full-rim design.

re: Seek

They just messaged me that they no longer make the Parallel 2 lens for Smith Optics glasses, because of all the fit issues:

Parallel 2 is a half-rim that looks like a rimless, which I have some weird fetish for that type of design

I got those DVX Spoiler frames for under $20:

not bad at all, a complete set for under $50
