MRY Ultra Lenses - DWP lenses for $30

I barely managed to get a set of their lens into a Spy+ Tackle frame & then I was very disappointed with a total lack of contrast boost.

I only had to send two photos, one with the sticker from the package & I included a printout of the order in another photo with the glasses & lens in.

They actually commented they would take them back, but I would have to pay return postage.
They offered a silly little discount on my next order of only 10%.

I am a glutton for punishment, I suppose, because I then made another order for what they claim is their highest contrast-boosting lens & a rubber kit for some Flak 2.

If you want better quality & customer-service, for about the same price, go to Seek Optics.
Walleva also seems good, but their choices are more limited.
You are expecting a refund beause you purchased a lens without knowing it's characteristics? Defects are one thing, but "not happy" with the color of a $30 lens? No brand would ever entertain that claim - not even the best of them. If you are looking for a particular lens function or tint, its always pertinent to do your own snooping. If you look around, @younger06 had posted pictures of most of MRY tints a few pages ago, and and AlanH has posted some very detailed lens reviews. Better luck next time around with whichever lens maker you choose.

No shortage of contrast boost with the...
MRY Ice Blue
MRY Emerald Green
MRY Deep Water Polarised
MRY Midnight Sun

Wasn't massively impressed with the..

MRY Bronze/Gold
MRY Plasma Purple

But I wouldn't call them "bad"

All of the above where the "HD Polarised Ultra"

I also have a set of the..
MRY Cobalt Rose and they are just amazing for colour shift.
These are only available in "HD Polarised"

You pays your money....etc etc.

Possibly their most impressive lens IMHO

Ice Blue HD Polarised Ultra.

I nearly cut my damn fingers trying to force the lens into the Spy+ Tackle frames, they really did not fit, but I got them in there.

Note that the first suggestion for contrast-boost from the seller was Bronze, yet the premier champion of the company tells us they were not impressed.

Thats lame as it gets.
That^ is.

you purchased a lens without knowing it's characteristics?
It is characteristics.

"not happy" with the color of a $30 lens?
$27, I paid the same amount for a Seek Optics lens that is far & away better.
Walleva is another good option if you want to save some money.

No brand would ever entertain that claim - not even the best of them.
Patently false.
Fuse took back their Carbon Mirror lens & today I get a Glacier Mirror replacement.
They shipped out the Glacier Mirror within an hour from me dropping the Carbon Mirror off at the USPS.

Lens Direct also took a return, which arrived back to them today.
Their lens Clarity is crapola!

its always pertinent to do your own snooping.
I did a lot of research ahead of time, their claims are false.

If you look around, @younger06 had posted pictures of most of MRY tints a few pages ago, and and AlanH has posted some very detailed lens reviews.
Thanks, now that I am a member, since yesterday, I will have a look.
There is already a Bronze coming to me from MRY, if that one is also a flop, then I am done & only going to Seek when I want to spend less.

Better luck next time around with whichever lens maker you choose.
I had better luck with every other brand I have purchased. Even the $16 one from Smart-VLT was easily returnable.
This was not my first lens purchase, but it was my first time nearly getting berated for my choices by a party smantz.

Thanks for that.
How ironic though, that the seller themselves recommended Bronze to me.
DOH!
that would the second time they led me astray

I wouldn't call them "bad"
They are, in direct comparison to others. The dithering around the edges comes almost to the center, causing distortion.

You pays your money....etc etc.
Again, False
Seek is the same price & far better. Walleva are a little more & also good.

I typed an extensive reply/rebuke to this....but it disappeared and I ain't typing it again.

My only interaction with Seek Optics went pear shaped (they refunded me)

I have had 2 issues with MRY (out of about 10 purchases) and they too refunded me.

Seek Optics ARE more expensive lenses, unless you catch a sale.

Seek Optics International Shipping = $27

MRY International Shipping = nada.

The 2 sets of Seek lenses (which I ended up having to buy frames for because they shipped the wrong size) where quite honestly, disappointing. I was expecting a step up in quality for the extra outlay......I didn't get it.

I have to add $25 — $27 International Shipping to get that Seek lens to Ireland and then pay 20% Import Duty when it lands.

The MRY Lens lands in my letterbox for that €25

No need for the snipey remarks.
You cannot be serious, I give what I get.
You should direct your chastening to the opening poster who went off on me ahead of you.

(premier champion)

Tells me a lot
What does it mean?
You seem to love them, how is premier champion offensive to you?

Now I see it was the opening poster who went off on me.
Is there a conflict of interest?!

I have to add $25 — $27 International Shipping to get that Seek lens to Ireland
If you order two, shipping is free. Apex is the same, but cost a fair bit more. $100 minimum for free shipping with Apex, but only $50 with Seek.

You really should be paying import duty on both, so I am not sure how MRY gets around that.

I have had 2 issues with MRY (out of about 10 purchases) and they too refunded me.
I explained to them there was a lack of contrast-boost & that the lens barely squeezed into the frame.
They would have taken the return, but like you I am not wanting to pay $25 shipping to get them back there.

"not happy" with the color of a $30 lens?
Since that is in the form of a question: NO!
The fit was wrong & there was Zer0 contrast boost, Zer0!

The Free Shipping over 50 bucks is only for the USA not International.

It was an argument (discussion) with me that got them to change the (previously misleading) wording on their website.

Anyhoooo....as you guys would say in the land of the free......Have yourself a wonderful day
