New Generation Oakleys

I wanna talk about a little polemic topic because I didn’t see anyone talking about it. For old Oakley collector (anyone who own Oakleys made before Luxxotica Oakley acquisition), what do y’all think about the new generation Oakleys (after Luxxotica purchased Oakley)?
I personally think Oakleys were better before Luxxotica in my opinion, let me stress this, IN MY OPINION.
There was not so much new or technological sunglasses after a big business purchased a well known brand to be honest, kinda the opposite, they just started doing mostly plastic sunglasses.
I wanna know your opinion about it!
What do you think about newer sunglasses like plantaris and are the old sunglasses that still in production like Holbrook and Frogskin still have good quality or Oakley “lowered” their standards?
New to Oakley so I wanna hear from more experienced Oakley collectors.

Your OPINION is accurate. I only have a few of Lux Sux glasses just because they were dirt dirt cheap. I respect the individuals that wear that cheesy crap, but just not for me.

Your assessment is spot on. If you search for Luxottica here you'll find tons of threads discussing this very topic going back at least 5 or 6 years.

When Oakley was sold to Luxittica, we noticed distinct difference in their sales technique and the protocols, which may have existed before, were no longer.

The line up had been reduced, losing the watches, along with shutting down the X-Metal furnace. Marketing was aimed at the majority rather than the discerning.

Lux is so much better than Oakley. The CS is sooooo much better and there is never any fingerprints on new sunglasses like they were in the old days They even ship un-destroyed boxes. Just ask @MicahS

You are almost talking about two totally different companies with similar traits. Suxallotica has done some things well but blanket CS with coupon codes while Oakley USA would do what M Experiment does today... Go to any length to PERSONALLY take care of your issue then add +1. Products of those days... Oakley USA was top of the herd and today Oakley Sux is lucky it has the Oakley name sometimes with its hit and miss issues... Then the fingerprints and effed up boxes....
