Plantaris

When is Oakley going to sell replacement lenses for these? I haven't even seen an aftermarket company do it yet.
According to a customer service rep I talked to on the phone as well as another in-store employee, the Plantaris may get replacement lenses over the next few months. Of course, it's anyone's guess how accurate that is, given employees were also saying the Plantaris was a limited-release model, and Oakley ended up changing their minds.

Yeah this is sad to see. I would buy lenses from O' but they mark them up so high their competitors have just as nice a lenses at half to a 3rd the price and more color ways too for the frames. So i feel like a traitor but if O' wont let us customize them then we have to do it ourselves. There are several frames I would like to be able to buy just the lenses in a number of colors but they dont make them.
I find ebay to be the place for lenses... several opticians dump the lenses from frames onto ebay when they do RX and sometimes you can get them as low as $40

I have both brands in my regular rotation. Besides color variety I would say they are both top notch. Both have great customer service. Both use a polycarb material for the lenses.

I will give the edge to Fuse if you like Prizm by Oakley, the Fuses AMP line is very near that contrast magnification style.

I havent had any quality issues with either one. My latest Fuse purchase for the O' Siphon needs a re-cut and measure so they paid for me to send them to them to redo their template and re-cut/fit/install them at no cost to me.

Seek has done the same before so they both offer a great service their with the customer service.

I know I sound middle of the road on which to go with. I would say the big thing is color you are after. Fuse has more red options and blue options than Seek. But both offer 3 tiers and entry points. I usually do AMP with Fuse if its available because I like the color enhancing contrast enhancing. For seek I usually do the Polarized middle tier because I have plenty of them and no issues so far.

If you have a color in mind I can show you my comparison pics of the Red/Blue/Greens I have in rotation and Purple by Seek as well. If its other then that I will have to see what I have.

Appreciate the detailed reply.

I'm not set on a specific color yet but I am leaning towards Seek's Pure Gold Mirror.

Those are on my to try next. I have been very happy with my Seek Mirror lenses in the various colors so far. I have no doubt the gold wont disappoint.

In my cart for the next bulk pick up of lenses I want to give a shot are the Rose Gold and Pure Gold.

Plantaris with Fuse AMP Nova Mirrors, love the complex colors of the lenses. Overcast morning setting. I would have to say though, Oakley's PRIZM is still undefeated for me, but these are great for the price (got them on sale)

those look awesome. i don't really like how fuse now engraves their lenses on the polarized, and i had some fitment issues in the past, but those are wicked.

The engraving is the big downer for me personally as well

I wouldn’t care if I was done like Oakley that’s a raised bevel etching

I don’t care for the engraved etching but the amp clarity is very nice

If you go in the O' Parts store the main 4 releases in the line have their lenses up as a replacement lens order.

For what it worth if you just want any of those lenses.
