Removing Hard Water Stains from Lens

That actually worked...Awesome! Thanks!

At least you could scrub down those mineral glass lense with solvent and steel wool and they'd still survive....wait, does Ray Ban still make glass lenses?
No they don’t. I still have some Bausch & Lomb Ray Bans with glass lenses sunglasses

That sucks man! AFAIK they did have glass lenses until recent times. I had a pair of Aviators from 2018 and a RB2140 wayfarer from 2020, both with glass lenses.

Say what you would about RB, but their glass lenses were built to take a beating. Even Maui is moving on from their glass lenses towards Polycarbonate.

You are welcome. Vinegar is a mild acid. Many people complain about hard water stains on various glass and other surfaces.
Use it to get a very clean shower along with that clogged shower head submerge the showerhead in vinegar
Use some light steel wool on the shower doors with some vinegar
I own a construction company that specializes in bathroom and kitchen remodeling. Many people ask the secret to keep a shower clean

For fear of repeating myself
Lenses:::
Rinse with flowing water from the faucet. Your washcloth that you should be washing your body with….
Start rubbing/cleaning the lens.. flowing water.
Next::: dry soft washcloth. Dry thoroughly edges and get all around lens.
Hold up to light. Making sure allll water is gone…
I clean my lens after every use.
I have lens that are 20 years old…

I successfully removed chlorine stains from the lenses using medical alcohol and a cotton swab without any negative consequences. However, this method should be used at your own risk, as alcohol is still quite an aggressive chemical. If you decide to try it, you might start with diluted alcohol at 40%—essentially vodka.
