Fixed this c six back up best I could. Was very badly corroded and all the screws were seized completely. Refinished the aluminum parts and icons to a candy matte black finish over the brushed aluminum.
Wow - just incredible on the plasma’ized copper good sir.
How does it differ in person vs plated copper? (it seems to give off a 24k finish OEM type of glow)
Does the clearcoat act as a sealant, basically guaranteeing that patina going forward?

It is copper plated. But then I finish the copper similar to plasma finish. The clear coat stops the copper from oxidizing. Without the clear coat tho it does have a unique look. But it will patina and age with use.
