And the other Ti is a tan matte
crazy diff, but digging it.
054397 is the matte
065109 is the Ti Plasma.
Matching boxes also.
Any other Ti’s out there with close to the same serial.

We have 2 topics here:
1. About the final coat of finishings. Nowadays more and more pairs are going to become “custom paint” in different textures and different colors. In 90’s the techniques we’re pretty classy and a small change in the composition of the final paint or the change of time (even more or less seconds) in the burning/oven process can change the final coating of the frame.
2. About high serials for real plasma finish. It’s very hard to believe that a serial of 05xxxx will have plasma finish and the rest of neighbor series it’s just Ti finish (matte or glossy). Different batches were specific coated and burned in same time, only the composition of paint or time in the oven might give those small differences.

I have seen this before, very close serial number to yours as well.

My guess is this is probably around the time they realised the first gen ti Romeo finish was not holding up well and switched them to be more like the plasma, but before they started adding the A serial prefix to them.
