How to install Linegear ear stem washers:
What you need: LG washers, toothpick, flat head screw driver(for fixing eyeglasses), and t6 screw driver

1. insert your flat head screw driver w/ the flat head parallel to the small gap

2. Rotate the FHSD so it is standing up like what the picture shows. You will need that large gap bec. LG washers are really thick. Don't worry, you will have plenty of space still.

3. Install the washers like so...
NOTE: You will only need two per earstem

4. Slide everything in. With that kind of a gap it will be very easy to slide everything. Once it is in place put a toothpick on the t6 hole to align everything.

5. Remove the FH screw driver.
- Your work should look like this......

6. Since the LG washers are thick, your ear stem screw won't be flush on the bottom side. This is normal.

7. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done:cool-20::showingbiceps::dance::drinks::smoke::imtheking:

Yo BriP: Hi from Melbourne. I lived in Perth for 12 years before moving to Melbourne in 1999. Stumbled on this thread while looking for tips how to replace and install washers on my Romeo 1.

Great thread!

Great thread, I do the tweezers thing myself for the ear stem swap. Works well enough for me. And the ear socks swap works great with a little saliva. Don't worry, it all dissolves.

When swapping the washers and using the flat head screwdriver to pry open the hinges, will it crack the lens?

Is it necessary to remove the lens first before prying open the hinges?

The prying shouldn't crack the lenses, no, but it might be a good idea to remove the lenses anyway to protect them from accidental damage if a screwdriver slips or something like that.
