Hello O family.
Have anyone tried to replace a broken arm/stem on a Zero vintage?
Is it doable? Or will it breake for sure?

If it is possible to do... would you do it from the hinge or removing the whole frame like on the picture?

Maybe aplying hot water to the plastic could make it easier to manipulate.

Is the mount on the lens broken? If not, why not just replace at the hinge. Doing it at the hinge would allow it to just "pop" off if I remember correctly

Hi, no, the mount is not broken, but I heard that the hinge is way too fragile.

There was an old trick to use a thin plastic card, like a driver's license, and slide that into the hinge flat ways. It would allow it to"pop" out.

I've never tried this but it makes sense. Also, I put a little bit of hair dryer heat to it as plastic always becomes more malleable with heat.

I have plans to swap some m-frame stems onto some zeros, so I will be attempting all of this too. GL 😬😬
