Why are you ruining deals for other people?

Just ranting. Noticed on a different marketplace app that someone had sold a pair of Juliettes for about $80 bucks. Felt bummed I missed out on it, but such is life. Then noticed a couple hours later that it was re-posted for $300. I asked the seller and sure enough, someone had messaged her, telling her they were worth more and offering more money. Stop ruining deals for other people. It's not their fault she didn't bother to do proper research before posting them and all you're doing is being a selfish prick.

Note that I was not the buyer here.. just sick of people interfering with other people's deals often not to the benefit of anyone other than a seller who can't be bothered to take 5 minutes to figure out what they have and what it's worth. If you see someone get an awesome deal just nod and appreciate the fact that someone's day was just made. Don't ruin that out of jealousy.

Alright. Rant over.

This sounds so familiar... a few years ago, a marketplace sale thread was posted here for a Rx frame Carbon Plate for $60. I PMed the seller right away that I will buy it at the asking price. I got a response that I got the deal. Then a few minutes after, I got a message again that someone else told him that it cost more than the asking price. So the seller wanted out of the confirmed deal, and offered it to me (if I really wanted it) for $120 instead. WTF!? I declined. I didn't call the seller out. But, I hope you remember it.

Uh huh, educating someone who could really need the money on the actual price of an item is selfish hmm. Let’s only worry about our community’s day being made, and not the ones that find out later they lost out on a car payment because they didn’t have someone to help them out with the price.

You can out the seller. Here I’ll do it for you. It’s me, and it happened about 4 years ago: Sold - BNIB RX Ferarri Carbon Plate and Ferrari Voltage

And it’s exactly what I’m talking about. I don’t fault a seller for not taking an L when they learn about it, but I do fault a buyer for coming in and trying to scoop/ruin a deal for/from someone else. I’ve missed out on plenty of deals like this, but I don’t blame the seller for not wanting to lose money. And I don’t blame the buyer for getting a deal. I do blame the person who either tells the buyer after the fact or tries to steal it.

This just happened to mean today. Oakley Metal double wide for FREE just need moved out . I reached out at 9am offered to pick up ASAP. He says okay come after work. Then I get a text while I getting ready to go there asking if I would pay$500 it bc someone messaged and told him he shouldn't be giving it away it's worth $500. Like WTF
