that it is but a bland looking lens IMO.

To look at, yes. To look through, though, is a different story.

And as carrera mentioned, the two water Prizms are also polarized. And they are much more flashy to look at... In fact, I just spent the weekend in your neck of the woods getting a lot of use out of Deep H2O Prizm...;)

hey nice. hopefully the water wasn't ugly looking. they seem to have managed the seaweed coming ashore. I love the beach and being able to drive 10 minutes and I'm there. Normally i'd wear my Sapphire lenses for when I'm there.

We were in Galveston last year and it was seaweed hell. But this year in Port A, the seaweed was non-existent. Even the tar was almost unseen. Very nice. I guess that's what they're doing with all that beach parking permit income...

Question on Prizm lenses. Are these essentially just polarized lenses? Or is there more going on? Are there also non-polarized Prizm lenses?

I currently have a pair of Oakleys with BIP lenses and want to move to non-polarized lenses as I don't like how I can't see my phone screen properly without taking off my glasses first, and while driving any infotainment screens are almost black unless I tilt my head at an odd angle, or take of my glasses.

Would I experience these same problems with Prizm lenses?

All Prizm lenses are not polarized. Prizm basically enhances contrast.

You will not have the polarization issues if you use a non polarized Prizm (or any non polarized lens for that matter)

You sure that they are not Polarized? Looking at the Oakley website it appears that most of them are Polarized.

Click on any of those and in the lens description it'll say "Prizm ... Polarized".

Yes. Some are not polarized.

Some of the sport specific Prizm lenses are not polarized. I have Prizm Road and Prizm Field lenses in a couple of my frames.

Also, there is a Prizm Black variant that is not polarized... And there is a Jawbreaker that has a non polarized Prizm Ruby. You have to look hard.

Ah, gotcha. Is there a Prizm Black non-polarized lens? Currently Black Iridium has my overall preference, but if there is a Prizm Black non-polarized I might want to give that a try. I need that because I live in CO where the sun is usually very bright.
