What is the story behind -Red Iridium Lenses and Ruby Clear? -Red was so cool but rarely ever materialized

Mr JJ...

What if I want to bring my entire collection of 500+ pairs and MANY display items?
There have been many requests here and on O-Review for me to show it in it's entirety and I think this would be a great opportunity for that, there would be MULTIPLE upon MULTIPLE items available for trade and some for sale...
I would need a display area though, what do you think? If space will be extremely limited I understand and will just bring what I can carry I guess...
I mentioned this once in a small blurb but didn't see a response and I put it in the email to Tasha as well with no mention in her response either...

FGG

Damn. I would love to see FGG's collection in its full glory that's for sure!

I really respect the fact that Oakley chose Nevada to built the X-Metals as opposed to finding a cost effective "sweatshop" plant in China. To me, Oakley's main priority was not to profit but instead, to get the impossible done...not really a question but just wanted to express my full appreciation on getting this masterpiece done. Thanks again Jim, nothing else on the planet is quite like the Metals...even up until today.

Question for Jim:

If memory serves, you passed Oakley to LUX in 2007. My question therefore is: what were the last few frames that you actively had a hand in designing?

Cheers.

+1 I was thinking the same thing; specifically if you had a hand in the Pit Boss design. and/or X Squared.

If I am not mistaken, Pit Boss 1 was said to be his last Hurrah...I recall that being discussed heavily at the Co-Pilot event.

The Pit Boss was my last real involvement, but I won't take sole credit for it. There are designers and CAD modelers at Oakley that I worked with to create this one. It was the culmination of lots of things we learned over the years and a great example of the design language, SLOGGING, that was established in the early 1990's. I have worn my pair of 1st prototypes every day since they were put together.
