What do you think is a "real" Oakley Collector?

I'll chime in with my experience. I consider myself a collector. However, I've built that collection by what many would consider "flipping." When I first started buying my wife lost her ****. Just didn't get it. So we finally came to an agreement that if this were a fully self sustained hobby she was fine with it. With that said, I've built my humble collection on a net zero cost. I have bought and sold too many pairs to count, and many I wish I could have held onto forever. I can honestly say though, I've never price gouged or misrepresented anybody or any item. Matter of fact I've passed many good deals onto members in this thread at very reasonable prices. I've had items sit through many price drops until it hits a fair price for someone. I've had pairs where I made alot on and many pairs I lost alot on. All said, I believe both can exist congruently, so long as noone is taken advantage of and all is based on the beauty of capitalism (supply/demand=fair market value).

I have bought several things from you that you def. could have charged way more for......You not only are a true collector but have a passion to help others out with their collection.

That ain’t flippin dude. That’s building a collection. I built mine the same way. The only difference is I keep a spreadsheet so I know all my purchases and sales.

The flipper is the cat that will buy ANYTHING cheap and find actual collectors to sell it to with the sole purpose of making money.

Like when a guy starts selling **** cheap and a bunch of people start liking them and building collections then one ******* notices and just blanket buys all of them JUST to turn around and sell them to the guys collecting them. That’s a flipper. **** him.
